Players ages 3-8

Most children’s recreational volleyball programs and activities begin around 7-9 years of age because the coordination and skills to serve (and pass) don’t really develop until the pre-teen years. There are some rec programs that offer mini-camps which may include an introduction to the volleyball and other sports. Some clubs may offer something similar for younger ages, but typically organized rec teams will begin for children around nine years old.
