Whether it’s playing in the backyard or organizing a pick-up game at a local gym, there are many more opportunities to play volleyball for fun!
Many recreational centers offer open gym for volleyball – call your local rec center, grab a few friends and play a pick-up game (or two). And this isn’t just for the young…adults can participate as well!
Boys and Girls clubs, YMCAs, churches and rec centers also offer organized recreational leagues. For a small fee — $50-$100 is the norm – you can join a team (or bring your own) to compete against other teams. These seasons run 6-8 weeks and normally end with playoffs and a championship game.
Looking for something more competitive? Many volleyball clubs also offer house leagues. Again, for a small fee ($75-$150), kids and adults can compete over a short season. Teams in these leagues are usually organized by skill level.
